Sharapova’s endless disappointment when she failed right before the finals of the Madrid Masters.

`I feel very happy, it was a difficult match against a completely superior opponent. But I played consistently and held the ball well. Everything today supported me and helped me get the result.`

With 26 unforced errors and five double faults, Sharapova showed that her performance is really going down.

But Sharopova’s defeat was only the first shock in yesterday’s competition day in the women’s tournament, because just a few hours later, the second semi-final between Serena Williams and Petra Kvitova also ended according to the same unimaginable scenario.

Serena made too many bad errors and suddenly lost form at a time that required the most focus and stability in her career.

Similar to Sharapova, Serena committed 25 unforced errors, while her opponent only had 11. The world number one player only woke up in the second set when she tried to bring the score from 2-5 to 3-5, but

`I’m definitely happy to beat her, an opponent that  anyone would want to defeat. I’ve always been surpassed by her in previous encounters, so this result becomes special for me

Serena Williams admitted that she lost form in this important match.

This is the third time in her career that Petra Kvitova has defeated the world’s number one tennis players.
