Dr. Fauci mentioned that Trump’s re-election campaign had previously released a promotional video that the medical advisor said was intentionally `distorting` his words.

The 30-second video was released by the Trump campaign last week, after the US President left Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to return to the White House to continue treatment for Covid-19.

Trump’s campaign in the video tried to paint a rosy picture of the government’s response to Covid-19, including an image of Dr. Fauci declaring: `I can’t imagine anyone else being able to do much more.`

`I think the statement is completely distorted and the inclusion of it in a campaign ad is clearly politically motivated, I’m really disappointed,` Fauci told CNN, saying the Trump campaign should remove the ad.

The full video shows Fauci’s comments made during an interview he did with Fox News in March, in which the White House medical adviser said `I’ve spent almost all my time working.`

Tim Murtaugh, Trump’s campaign manager, spoke out after Fauci demanded the removal of the above allegedly `cropped` promotional video.
